Trenbolone (/ˈtrɛnbəloʊn/), also known as Trienolone or Trienbolone, is a synthetic, anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) of the nandrolone group which was never marketed.
Etymology
The term "Trenbolone" is derived from the compound's original brand name, "Trenbolone", which is a combination of the words "tren" (a prefix meaning three, referring to the three double bonds in the steroid's chemical structure) and "bolone" (a suffix derived from "testosterone", the hormone from which all anabolic steroids are derived).
