Calgranulin A - (pronounced) (kal-GRAN-yoo-lin. . . ) A protein made by many different cell types and involved in processes that take place both inside and outside the cell. It is formed in larger amounts in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and some types of cancer. It is being studied as a biomarker for breast cancer.
