Nurse practitioners such as Cdn-nurse p, work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, physicians' offices, and clinics. Also referred to as advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), nurse practitioners coordinate patient care and may provide primary and specialty healthcare. Nurse practitioners such as Cdn-nurse p must earn at least a master’s degree in one of the APRN roles and must also be licensed in their state, pass a national certification exam.
