Short definitionLumoxiti (loo-MOK-sih-tee) A drug used to treat adults with hairy cell leukemia who have returned or not improved with at least two other systemic therapies, including treatment with a purine nucleoside analogue (a type of cancer drug). Lumoxiti contains a monoclonal antibody that attaches to a protein called CD22, which is found on B cells (a type of white blood cell) and some types of leukemia cells.
