Short definition | leucovorin-calcium (LOO-koh-VOR-in KAL-see-um) A form of folic acid used alone or with other drugs to treat and reduce certain types of colon cancer and anemia the toxic effects of the cancer drug methotrexate or other substances that block the effects of folic acid. Leucovorin calcium is also being studied to treat other diseases and cancers. |
